Bear Lake

We went to Bear Lake just recently and had a blast just being there. My grandparents take us, and my whole moms side of the family, every year just to have fun being with all of them at once.

When you go, you get a cabin or condo to stay in for the period of time you  are there.
Our first night of the week was July 5, so people still did fireworks that were fun to see.
Anyway, as I was saying, our first day was just swimming at the pool and seeing everyone there, we didn't do much the first day because we were unloading our bags and just lounging because of the long, long, lonnnggg ride up.

Second day we ate breakfast then headed out to the lake.   Me and my cousin had a race out to the white bouy where the boats have to slow down.
We got our rafts and our oars (I could not find my other oar, so I raced with one oar) then we pushed our rafts out until we got out past the weedy marsh.  Then we hopped in and started to paddle as fast as we could, obviously my arms started to hurt quite fast, but I still won the race. When we got back to shore we warmed up at the pool hot tub. Then off to lunch. We all ate up. Then we showered and went back to our own condos where each family got ready for dinner.

The next morning we rented a boat from nine to five. Me, my dad, my two cousins, and my uncle went to the boat and got the first ride on it. We first hooked up the knee board to the boat and my cousin Stephen went first.  Then, next was me. And to my surprise I got up on my first try. When I finally fell down I was upside down under water and I realized I had put the strap on way too tight.  I tried to get up but I couldn't.  I tried to loosen the  strap but I couldn't so I waited for about 30 seconds util the boat came to get the strap loosend.next up was my cousin Cathryn she had the same thing happen to her when she fell, but her rescue took like at least a minute to get her strap loosend.  After that I realized I had got sunburned on the top part of my legs. and my cousin on the nose and under the eyes. We then headed back to shore where the next group got a turn, while me and cathryn ran across the hot sand and all the way to the hot tub, singing Tikki tikki tembo no say rembo charabararoochi pit pary pembo oots billy otten goaten show boat shah bitten batten an phil.

When we finally got to the hot tub my cousin Savannah was already there.  Me and Cathryn hopped right into the hot tub and realized that was a bad idea...my sunburn really really reeaally hurt.  After we got out we played in the swimming pool with Savannah till about five.  Then we all walked back to our condos, ate then went to sleep.

Day 5  We went to my grandmas and I helped make pancakes for breakfast.  After pancakes were served we sat down, ate and then if your my age you know how it is...the parents started to talk... the conversation went on forever.  But then someone felt like they heard enough chit chat and started to swoop around the condo like crazy.  At first, all of us thought it was a baby bird.  But then realized it was a baby bat that had stayed the night.  My grandma opened the door and it flew right out. That ended our little conversation.  We headed out, got changed and went straight to  " The store" and played bingo to win prizes.  Ater bingo  we went to go play mini golf.  Me,  Cathryn and Savannah played the whole thing before anyone was at the tenth hole.  That night my two cousins designed an outfit made of glowsticks so when you turned out the light, all you could see was the glowsticks.  It was amazing!  The last day was the same as the first day...pack,eat,say goodbye then the sad part ......leave.
It was really fun!
I LOVE BEAR LAKE.
